Estaba conformado por el talento de Chris Hillman, el ex miembro de los Byrds o Flying Burrito Brothers, J. D. Souther, antiguo miembro del dúo Longbranch Pennywhistle, formado junto a Glenn Frey, y Richie Furay, componente de Buffalo Springfield y de Poco.
