Blue Mink were a Soul group out of England, formed in 1969. Melting Pot was their first release. The liner notes on the back are a bit humorous as it notes that England is fine with strings and brass, but could never match the RnB of America until that is, Blue Mink! That's quite a hefty burden to lie on the group's debut album. While the group was fronted the duo of Madeleine Bell and Roger Cook on vocals, the tracks that stand out are the Rock-influenced instrumentals Over The Top, Blue Mink, and Prelude, with the best being Gidda Wadda Wobble
