IMPECABLE ESTADO !!!..The Roaring Silence" incluía la aparición especial como invitada de la saxofonista de jazz Bárbara Thompson, gran album..!!..versiones de b.springteen, Aquí tenemos un álbum de Rock progresivo que salió a luz en 1.976. Hay que decir sobre este álbum que destaca del resto de la producción del grupo, Un tema a destacar por su peculariedad de los demás ( pero todos son buenos.), se trata de Blinded By The Light, uno de los mejores temas que jamás interpretaría el grupo, y que también figura en su fantástico álbum en directo Live In Budapest. El grupo, con una de las mejores formaciones de su historia está compuesto por los músicos siguientes : Manfred Mann, Dave Flett, Colín Pattenden, Chris Slade, Chris Thompson. Si, nuestro queridisimo Chris Thompson también estaba en la formación, a la guitarra y voz. Lo recomiendo a todos aquellos que intentan comprender de una u otra forma la cultura musical de los años 70. The Roaring Silence Fue lanzado el 27 de agosto de 1976 por Bronze Records en el Reino Unido y por Warner Bros. Records en los Estados Unidos. Al igual que otros álbumes de Earth Band, esto incluye material de otros compositores. 'Blinded by the Light', que alcanzó el número uno del Billboard Hot 100, es una versión de una canción de Bruce Springsteen; 'Preguntas' se basa en el tema principal de Impromptu en sol mayor de Franz Schubert (1827); 'Starbird' toma su tema del ballet de Igor Stravinsky The Firebird (1910); y 'The Road to Babylon' está basado en el canon 'By the Waters of Babylon' de Philip Hayes.

Highlights are difficult to pick out on such a great rock record but "California", "Davy's On The Road Again" and "Martha's Madman" are all wonderful examples of Earth Band at its best. The album also features a reworking of Manfred's 1968 hit "The Mighty Quinn" written, of course, by Bob Dylan
