el primer álbum de Iron City Houserocker intenta capturar la presencia de lo que era esencialmente una banda de bar de Pittsburgh tocando para una multitud de cuello azul todas las noches. Si bien las habilidades de composición de Joe Grushecky claramente aún se están desarrollando, su potencial es visible en cortes como "Dance With Me" y "Heroes Are Hard to Find".
El sonido general del álbum es una reminiscencia de un Bruce Springsteen ligeramente "más duro", y el uso intensivo de la armónica sería un factor distintivo de los Houserockers para varios álbumes por venir.
